Birthday Balloons

This is a simple birthday card.  I used the Stampin' Up - Hand delivered set and colored it in with Spectrum noir markers and topped the balloons off with Glossy Accents.  In person, they look shiny, but in photos, they look wet.  I also added some star accents to one of the balloons.  I wanted to keep adding, but I stopped myself and tried to just keep it simple.

These cards are from this month's Paper Pumpkin subscription. The aren't specific, but I figure they can be used for graduation and a birthday card.  I don't intend on making all 8 of them, but I will keep the card stock to use for other projects.

Happy Birthday

This card was formed from the idea to repeatedly stamp a single sentiment and highlight it in one place.  I don't have a lot of sentiment stamps, so I had to use what I have.  The Happy Birthday sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.  I only know the bird stamp was a free digital stamp, but not where I got it (It's been sitting on my computer forever).  I colored it in with some Spectrum Noir and gave the top birdie a lollipop with a small enamel dot.

Simple Birthday card for a coworker.  I already had the birthday medallion (from Silhouette collection) and I used a piece of brown cardstock with a candle embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  I had a few scraps of orange cardstock that I used for 'ribbon'

Happy Birthday Fisherman

 

Today's card is for a coworker of my husband's birthday.  My husband works at a fishmonger/restaurant and the cowrker in question is a HUGE fisherman out on the lagoon.  I wanted to do a Mahi Mahi card (since they are very colorful and plentiful around these waters) but he catches mostly redfish n the lagoon so I went with that. I made a couple of medallions for the sentiment one of which I covered in embossing ink then silver embossing powder to get the look of takle.  I used metallic thread to look like the line and hook.  Lastly, I dry embossed the background with D'vine swirls folder from cuttlebug.

My sis-in-law's birthday is this week and i was trying to think of a good layout.  The embossing folder wasn't wide enough, so i just embossed some score lines on the sides to fill in.  The medallion is from Silhouette's free cut files.

Hippo Birdie Two Ewe

I always loved this Boynton version of the Hippo Birdie birthday song.  I printed it on cardstock, heat embossed with some silver and placed on some gray chevron paper.  A little bow was placed to make it look complete.

I made this card for a random birthday.  I actually started the card a month ago, but didn't like where it was going so I stopped.  I finally found the perfect motif for the center.  The top is basic white card stock embossed with the Happy Birthday folder for the cuttlebug and the bottom is red cardstock with the swirl frame.  I used some ribbon to separate the two sections and found the cake on my Hallmark card program.  I used the nestabilities circle die to cut it out and a dimensional circle to make it pop a bit

Brother's Birthday Card

 

 

For my brother's birthday this year, I didn't want to use my cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder.  I wanted something a little different.  I saw this post on pinterest: Rounded corner measurements and thought it would be perfect.  She used 3 different hues, but I just used two because it looked better for this card.  I added the "brother" panel on the front and that and the inside sentiment were printed on plain paper from my Hallmark greeting card program. The paper is from Colorbok, Hopscotch Premium doublesided papers.***
